Systematically Improving CTR

One of the most important optimization strategy in PPC campaigns is improving the campaigns CTR. This can be done by doing Ad copy testing.

Adcopy testing should be done with more specific different ad copies. Create different identical sets of ad copy, but one with a general display url and one with a specific display url. Test this with different adgroups in the campaign and monitor the performance of each adcopy.By following the steps below, you can set your campaigns up for success.
  1. Start a new ad group from scratch, so that the existing performance history does not impact ad delivery
  2. Create several ads, each with a distinctive feel
  3. Upload a proven enough traffic volume keyword list. So that one ad begins to differentiate itself as the highest performer
  4. Repeat across more ad groups.
